On October 31, at the site of gym 228 at f.e madill high school Mr.westra and the 8A class were completely pummeled to the ground by Mrs. durnin and the 8B class. In the most epic bobbing for apples duel in history. Mrs.durnin’s great idea to get some easy bragging rights over Mr.westra’s class by challenging them to a bobbing for apples duel. 2 students came up for a head on head battle literally and started bobbing for apples. After the duel we made a google spreadsheet to graph the data for a math project to see who the winner was, though we already knew that we won. we did this to collect data for a math project, and to have fun with an old Halloween tradition.
Based on the data in the charts I conclude that 8B got more their first apple quicker then 8A. 8B got 4 of their first apples in 0-15 seconds not much of a surprize though, well 8A got only 3 of theirs in 0-15 seconds. I can also conclude that 8B got more total number of apples then 8A. 8B got 28 apples or 70 % of the apples collected, well 8A got 12 apples or 30 % of the apples collected I say it was pure luck of the draw for them though.
A strategy our team used was to push the apples to the corners instead of in the middle,we thought that would be easier. A second strategy we used was to not be afraid to push the opponent’s head out of the way for an apple, not that we meant to hurt them though.
After collecting the data, and watching the suspenseful duel I am 100% sure that the winner of the BFA duel is …. 8B. 8B won with the stupendously large, but foretold victory 8A never had a chance in my perspective. 8A were good competition though.
